Nominations have now closed for the Seahaven Business Awards 2018

A massive thank you to all those who voted in this year’s Seahaven Business Awards, voting has now closed and the finalists will be announced on the 11th May 2018,

The Seahaven Business Awards recognise businesses which have shown tremendous commitment, innovation and inspiration to all around them. Newhaven Chamber of Commerce President Mike Shorer said: ‘Last year’s successful event will be matched by our 15th annual awards with headline sponsors Veolia and Wave Leisure, Elite Industries, the Newhaven Enterprise Centre and HM Bookkeeping. We will be welcoming special guests, the new Vietnamese Ambassador to the UK, Ambassador Tran Ngoc An and the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of East Sussex, David Allam to the Grand Gala Awards Dinner on Friday 11 May at Jerrom Hall, Peacehaven.’

On the judging panel this year will be local MP Maria Caulfield, the Mayor of Newhaven and the Presidents of the Newhaven, Peacehaven and Seaford Chambers of Commerce.

Closing date for nominations was Friday, 23 March 2018, and the winners will be announced at the Gala Dinner on Friday 11 May 2018. The winners will be presented with stunning trophies designed by Newhaven President and goldsmith Mike Shorer.

The Seahaven Business Awards are organised by Newhaven Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with Peacehaven and Seaford Chambers of Commerce.

Thank you for your interest in the Seahaven Business Awards. Before completing your nomination, please read the following terms and conditions of the website use and privacy notice. This section describes the terms and conditions of using the nomination form and explains how we store and use information you provide to us.

If you nominate someone for a Seahaven Business Award, it is understood that you agree to these terms and conditions.

Please be aware that if you do not accept these terms and conditions you must not proceed with your nomination of someone for a Seahaven Business Award.

Seahaven Business Awards nominators agree to:

Provide personal information that is in all respects true, accurate and up to date and is not, in any respect, misleading, deceptive or inaccurate or likely to mislead or deceive.

Notify the Newhaven Chamber of Commerce immediately of any relevant changes in their nomination at any stage during the application process.

The personal information provided by nominators will be used by the Newhaven Chamber of Commerce in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 1998, and any relevant local law, for the purposes of the Seahaven Business Awards 2018.

By completing the nomination form you agree that the information that the Newhaven Chamber of Commerce holds/shares about you will be treated as confidential and will only be disclosed to any other party:

i) as detailed in this notice and in the terms and conditions document or at your request or with your consent;

ii) to agents and others in connection with running services for you/your nominee;

iii) to investigate or prevent fraud; and

iv) if the law permits it or it is in the public interest.

For the purpose of collecting and processing your nomination for the Seahaven Business Awards 2018 and obtaining references from third parties the personal data on the nomination form you submit will be retained on the application system in accordance with the Newhaven Chamber of Commerce’s records data retention schedule. Under UK Data Protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold on you and the right to ask us to correct any inaccuracies in that information.
