Celebrating 21 years this year, the SBAs remain the most coveted local awards and are open to all businesses. They are an excellent opportunity to increase recognition for your business locally, and nationally, celebrating professionalism, creativity, innovation, and business excellence. Winners have included businesses from every sector and provide business owners, small and large, the chance to tell their stories and company achievements.

Mike Shorer, President of Newhaven Chamber of Commerce, said, ‘The feedback we received from last year’s event was incredible, and we have such an amazing diversity of successful local businesses that it always astounds us … and we hear about new ones every year! We are always thrilled to celebrate their successes with our members and colleagues from Seaford and Peacehaven Chambers of Commerce. Our host for the evening
Our host for the evening, and for the final time, is awards favourite John Young, presenter and reporter with the BBC for over 30 years. We have worked with John for a number of years and his sense of fun and audience engagement makes the evening unforgettable for winners, guests, and VIPs alike.

Seahaven Business Award Categories 2026
Our categories for 2026 include Business of the Year, Business Person of the Year, Best Leisure and Tourism Business, Best Health and Wellbeing Business, Best Customer Service, Best New Business, and the President’s Award for Artistic Enterprise. Judging will be by an independent panel from local business and we hope to welcome the Lord Lieutenant of East Sussex and the Vietnamese Ambassador to the UK and Ireland to our awards evening.
