SERV Sussex was presented with a cheque for £1,000 by Newhaven Chamber of Commerce at the Breakfast Club Networking. The money was raised at the 14th Annual Seahaven Awards on 5 May through a silent auction run by Fundraising Auctions and a grand raffle with prizes donated by local businesses. The money is the final amount SERV Sussex needed to purchase a new motorbike – a ‘milk’ bike for transporting human breast milk across Sussex for the NHS.
SERV is a registered charity that provides night time (7pm – 6am) transportation of Blood, plasma and other urgent medical items for NHS Hospitals across Sussex. The service is free of charge 365 days of the year via a committed team of volunteer riders and drivers often using their own motorbikes.
