This week’s speaker is Fred Laloux who’ll be talking about the Sailhaven Project.
Sailhaven is a community group based in Newhaven who are restoring a beautiful 1961 mahogany built Cheverton Crusiader sailing yacht called ‘Naima’ in order to be able to offer sailing training and sailing experiences to everyone. They estimate it will take over 2 years to get her ready for launching and will cost in the range of £10k over this period.
They are looking for people to help restore the boat and for people to help with sail training once she is on the water. They are also looking for funding to help with this very worthwhile community project. Come along and hear more from the Project Manager Fred Laloux at our Chamber Breakfast on 7th August at 7am.
Guests and visitors can come and network with our regular Chamber members, you’ll be made very welcome!
